Henri Fayol Administrative Theory.
The major initiators of this thought are Henri Fayol, Monney and Reilay.
They emphasized on two organizational inputs known as coordination and specialization.
1) The theory says that the coordination should be done
through
-
link of participants through hierarchy;
-
unity of command, which means that no subordinate receives order
from more than one superior;
-
span-of-control, which means that no superior should have more
subordinates than can be effectively overseen;
-
exception principal, which means ordinary matters must be routinely
dealt by subordinates and superiors be free to deal with
exceptional situations to which existing rules are inapplicable.
2) The second important point of the theory is specialization which
means:
Henri Foyal believes, in short, that the management performs five basic
duties, which are
-
forecasting & planning,
-
organizing
-
command
-
coordination
-
and, control.
